Previewing the 2013 Lexus LX

Our last post focused on all of the exciting changes set to occur to the Lexus RX family for 2013. While we are sure that information was informative to most readers, we suspect others were left wondering what is to be expected from Lexus’ other, larger SUV, the Lexus LX. Wonder no more and let this post be your guide to the 2013 Lexus LX before it hits your local Lexus dealer.

Sticking with the old adage of, “if its not broke, don’t fix it,” Lexus carried over many successful features from the 2012 model. Most notably is the 5.7L, DOHC V8, allowing for 383 hp and 403 lb-ft of torque. In addition to its powerful engine, drivers can expect many features that will make the 2013 LX a front runner in the luxury SUV category.

Drivers can expect unlimited seating options, including three rows, allowing the ability to seat eight passengers comfortably. The driver and front passenger can expect heated and ventilated power seats. While second and third row seats provide efficient folding options.

Other features include power sunroof, heated mirrors, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, and an adaptive front lighting system. The 2013 Lexus LX includes a state of the art sound system, navigation, and DVD system. Supplemental restraint system (SRS), first aid and tool kits, and a reverse camera are among the vehicles long list of safety features.
