Lexus LFA taken for a spin on public roads

The highly anticipated Lexus LFA had previously only been driven on racetracks and test drivers. Recently, a select few were able to test drive the Lexus LFA on open roads and have nothing to offer but rave reviews. The Lexus LFA has a lot to offer automobile enthusiasts. The model features a 4.8-liter V10 engine and has a manual transmission, which is six speed, single clutch. Lexus claims the LFA can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and when pushed to top speed can reach 202 miles per hour. Lexus attempted to design the engine of the LFA to sound like the engine of a race car, however they wanted to maintain the performance quality signature of a Lexus automobile. Chicago Lexus LS drivers are amazed by the performance capability of the Lexus LFA.

Not only can the Lexus LFA perform at top speeds, as witnessed on its open road debut, but it also is incredibly luxurious. Lexus took out all the stops with hand-stitched leather seats and a digital speedometer with a color-changing background. The interior also boasts a new sound system and new airbag technology. Chicago used Lexus dealers agree these features are key in the success of this new Lexus creation.

The Lexus LFA began its journey to its real road debut as a concept car a few years ago and is now making its way toward production. Only a certain individuals, chosen by Lexus, will have their orders taken and filled for the LFA model. Lexus will only release a total of 500 LFA models beginning in December 2010 and it is rumored the cars will cost between $350,000 and $375,000. The Lexus LFA automobiles will all be custom made to order with choices for everything from steering wheel leathers to interior and exterior color with a rumored 30 billion possible combinations.

Lexus is a quality brand producing cars capable of incredible performance and luxury. Although the Lexus LFA will only be available to a select few, the Lexus brand uses the same care and integrity on all of their automobiles.
