As you decompress from the holiday madness, take a bit […]

2018 Lexus LS Getting Closer

Rumors of the next-generation Lexus LS have circulated since earlier this year, when it was thought the car might be a late addition to the 2017 model year. The 2017 Lexus LS is available now at Woodfield Lexus, but it still belongs to the car’s fourth generation that’s been around since 2006 and which last […]

The Next-Generation Lexus LS

The Lexus LS 400 was introduced in January 1989 as the first Lexus car. For nearly three decades, it has been the company’s flagship, setting the template for the style, luxury and performance that would inform everything that came after. The fourth generation, introduced in 2006, has clocked a decade in service. Even accounting for design refreshes in 2009 and 2012, that’s an eternity in automotive time. Arlington Heights drivers — and, if we’re being honest, the staff here at Woodfield Lexus — have been a bit antsy of late waiting for the fifth generation. That wait will soon be over.  … Continue Reading

Lexus GS F Debuts

June 14, 2016 Featured No Comments

The Lexus F marque only appears on a select few vehicles built by the luxury automaker, each of which originates with the Lexus Vehicle Performance Development Division. The “F” stands for “Flagship,” and is also a subtle nod to the Fuji Speedway, where Lexus has tested many of its performance vehicles. The line was inaugurated in 2007 with the announcement of the Lexus IS F (now discontinued), which was followed by the Lexus LFA supercar (strictly limited edition of 500), the Lexus LF-LC concept car, and the production Lexus RC F. The 2016 Lexus GS F, first shown at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, is finally available to Arlington Heights customers of Woodfield Lexus.  … Continue Reading

Lexus Hybrid Sales Booming

Just a few short years ago, hybrid cars and SUVs looked like the wave of the future. Environmental concerns were part of the picture, but one of the biggest drivers of hybrid sales was simple economics. Americans felt hemmed in by the recession and rising gas prices, and hybrids seemed to offer a hedge. The economy eventually clawed its way back, and as gas prices plummeted, so too did sales of hybrids… with one notable exception. For Lexus, their hybrid vehicles have shown strong growth.  … Continue Reading

The Human Side of Lexus

When you think of a car assembly line, the first things you probably think of are precision and repetition, a car moving slowly and inexorably among a line of machines and robots bolting, riveting, and welding. It’s not quite as often that a car company takes pride in the human element in car building, but Lexus has put that front and center at its recently-opened plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. Forget the robots; the new Lexus factory is as high-touch as it is high-tech, and the company is betting that drivers will notice the difference.  … Continue Reading

2016 Lexus RX 350 Earns Raves

How popular is the 2016 Lexus RX 350? CNET says it is “the antidote to the German crossover.” The LA Times’ Charles Fleming advises, “Interested in a new Lexus SUV? Don’t do what I did. Don’t drive the best one first.” Business Insider’s Matthew DeBord flatly states, “This is not a car that Lexus can afford to screw up.”  … Continue Reading

Lexus LF-SA Concept

April 17, 2016 Featured No Comments

Lexus hasn’t become one of the world’s premiere luxury brands by playing it safe. While drivers familiar with the brand have come to take certain things for granted — not least of them the reliability of their new Lexus vehicles — the company has been known to throw the public the occasional curve ball. An excellent example of this was the debut last year of the Lexus LF-SA concept.  … Continue Reading

Lexus Sells One Millionth Hybrid

While known for innovation and luxury, Lexus has quietly been making inroads in another area as well: the company is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to selling hybrid cars and SUVs. So much so, in fact, that less than eleven years after the brand debuted its first hybrid (the RX 400h), it sold its one millionth hybrid.  … Continue Reading

ICYMI: Lexus Introduces V-LCRO Tech

We’re used to the designers and engineers at Lexus thinking outside the box. That philosophy, after all, has given the company some great cars like the 2016 Lexus RC 300 over the years, and it’s one reason that Woodfield Lexus is proud to serve the Arlington Heights area. The company is meticulous about every last detail, and is constantly looking for ways to innovate or improve. But when we caught wind of V-LCRO Technology, even we were left scratching our heads.  … Continue Reading

Lexus Financing at Woodfield Lexus

March 20, 2016 Featured No Comments

You love your old car. But you’re all too aware that the key word here is “old.” Maybe its style is starting to show its age. Maybe the engine doesn’t have quite the same pep that it used to. It could also be that the new technology looks pretty nifty, or that you’re just tired of driving the same car everywhere that you’ve been driving for the last five to ten years. But as aware as you may be of those things, you’re also aware that a new car, or even a Lexus L/Certified pre-owned vehicle isn’t going to pay for itself. That’s when it’s time to consider your finance options at Woodfield Lexus, just as thousands of our customers in the Chicago area have done.  … Continue Reading
